We are guided by a transformative yet simple principle that will redefine the built environment.
The building should be the custodian of all its data for its economic life.
Quipex isn't merely about document storage. It’s about creating the digital infrastructure that, at a national level, actively maintains the complete digital DNA of a building, from construction through decades of operation.
Quipex has been created with a singular purpose: to provide the definitive national platform where this custodianship becomes reality.
Quipex is starting with modular construction, where the gap between what is built and what can be verified is easy to follow. It works the same way a car does: a logbook and an owner’s manual travel with it for life, and a car with a full service history is worth more than one without.
During construction in the factory, Quipex is anchored by the Building Identification Number (BIN): a Global Location Number (GLN) issued through GS1 Australia, the organisation whose barcodes already appear on almost everything sold in Australia. At occupancy, the BIN connects that GLN to the Geoscape Building PID, the address and location record government already keeps for every building. The BIN is the identifier that connects the two and it is what banks, insurers and housing authorities can use to access the verified, shared record they need before they can extend trust at scale.
The factory record and the BIN are not administrative requirements. They are the trust infrastructure the sector has been missing.
The intelligence that Quipex generates from that infrastructure, from its Integrity Score to the compliance assessment to the chain of custody record, is what converts data into decisions.
For the modular industry, this is where the financing problem starts to get solved. For Australia's built environment, it is where the journey begins.
Every car carries a permanent identifier that establishes a verified chain of custody from factory floor to every subsequent owner.
Buildings should too.
